AAT and FIA Launched the second phase of safer School Road Signs Education for School chirdren and are targeting 50 schools/ teachrs training Colleges to train 1200 teachers which will benefit 26,000 chirdren in Dar es salaam Regional.
Speekin during the Launching event Chief Executive Officer of AAT Safer School Road signs Project Director, Mr Yusuf Ghor ,mentioned the selected schools that phase in number are Ilala 8 schools,Temeke 11 schools,Ubungo 5schools ,Kigamboni 5 schools,Kinondoni 21 schools, and 2 colleges in Ilala and Temeke one each Disctrict.
Mr Ghor said,AAT/FIA will prepare 8 different video clips with the purpurse of educating about Road safety signs and sent via Social networks like Facebook , You tube,Instagram,Whatsapp ,Email for further awereness on Road safety for public.
“Clips will contain tips like , Zebra crossing cycling school wearing helmet walking in groups,Traffic lights crossing texting, seat, belts and overtaking ‘’he said.
The fist phase of the project was Imremented last year 2017 where 1000 teachers were trained also in 50 schools and colleges on Road safety signs where by the goal was that after traing of teachers and providing equipment especially road safety board Education flyers with road signs in Kiswahili language Refrective Jackets stop and go signs which will help in organizing traing.
